I would go staggered on the SRT8. 22x9 up front and 22x10 or 11 in the rear. That being said they must be a 3 piece forged rim.

I agree....Get as much rubber under there as possible! If you have to, go to a place that specializes in fitting rims and tires to get the most.

As a SRT-8 owner, we have a limited selection to choose from. Since we have the Big Brembo Brakes it's hard to get proper clearance of the wheels. I did some searching for some 22's and wanted some Asanti's with Black Centers. After talking to my wheel man, he said that Asanti would only do 22x8.5 all around and couldn't do the 10 or 10.5 that I wanted.

Now LB44 was able to get some 22x9 Lowenharts on his SRT-8 without any problems. I beleive he used a space up front to clear the brakes.

I've since got my factory wheels dipped in Chrome. Looks good, and only paid $800 and shipping vs. the $5400 I was going to pay for the Asanti's. So maybe I'll get me some 22's after there is a bigger selection.

I'm sure if you could go to a large shop that could try out different style wheels then you could come up with something. But with my current set-up, the wheel shop would have to eat the cost if they ordered them and they didn't fit.

Hope this helps!

Dough,
so you dipped the srt8 wheels? got any pics
I was thinking of color coating the wheels to match the car. Its silver steel.
is that possible? how do I get it done. what do ya think? I think it would look nice.

Here is what I would do with the Silver Steel SRT-8...

HRE 948r powdercoated to match (or slightly darker) but I would go with a staggered setup like Fatchance mentioned. I personally think it would look pretty hot.

Asanti will do a 10" wheel in the rear, I spoke with them on the phone.

Your wheel guy is full of bs. Asanti makes custom wheels to any offset and size. I called Asanti (ask for Joey) a while back to get a name of an authorized Asanti dealer in my area and to also get the exact size without rubbing. They told me to go with a 22x9.5 front, 22x10.5 back 265/30/22. Their 300C show car has the exact setup mentioned, the only difference is that they cut the bolts in the back inorder to get a 6" lip. I got a set of Asanti 128 coming, right now I am riding on 22x9.5 265/35/22, just got my car lowered today (1.5") with no rubbing or anything!!!.

damn scarface, you better post pics when you get your new rims. i think a staggered setup looks killer on these cars (infact i wish i had done that now), especially with a 6" lip!!!!!!!!! wow. anyone have pics of the Asanti show 300c? that rear lip would be insane!
