size matter not

Hay

Nice looking tires. But That size diameter is smaller then what Angie is running with the 255/45/20. Your getting a wider contact patch. That size is the closest to the STR 8 245/45/20 thou.

It looks Great thou.

Dont take this the wrong way i've been looking at so many tires and the big gap with my 245/40/20 so long its become an obsetion. Im still looking at getting bigger tires on the rear but Falkin doesnt make the same tire as the front in a larger diameter.

It looks great. 20 is what the car should have come on from the beging. Not just the STR 8.

Sayiang that 275 tire fit is a general vague statement. It is also dependent on the wheels width and offset. 300cLove what is the width and offset?

Additionally, using that size also dependent on if you have or plan on lowering the car.

More information is needed.

Could you provide a direct rear photo ... I'm interested in getting the widest possible on the rear as well as the 275 on the front.

Also, could you provide the manufacturer of the wheels? The offset etc. is very important to ensure the tire/wheel combination will fit.

Your combination looks GREAT.

Damn!Damn!Damn!....Now this thread comes out. A week after I ordered my 20's with the stupid distributor's recommended 245/40/20's that now rub and leave way too much wheel gap. I wonder if any tire place would swap my week old 100 mile 245/40/20's for a set of 275/40/20's or 255/45/20's for a small nominal fee. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Wait a a Minute? If your 245's rub what do you expect from a 255 or 275 width tire?

WELL YOU CAN EXPECT THEM NOT TO RUB, CAUSE I HAVE NO RUB AT ALL.
That is because of the offset IX007 has, what E55 is saying is that if his 245 tires mounted on wheels are rubbing, they MUST have the wrong offset. And if he used a wider tire, it would have rubbed even more. He wasn't trying to discredit anyone or start an argument. He was just stating facts. Your all caps make it appear you are angry at him, when he was simply stating a valid point. Tires rub because of the wheel offset people (or if you have a ridiculously large tire) but mostly it is the wrong offset! Don't take offense, but IX007 you have wheels that aren't the right offset for the 300C. Be careful when choosing wheels. This car has a funny setup, that is unique. For a wide selection of wheels we will have to be patient, or else suffer the consequences (i.e. rubbing, spacers, wrong bolt pattern)
