What is the most efficient way to remove an 07 3.5L starter, just from looking at it, it looks like remove the air intake tube possibly filter box, remove motor mount heat shield, remove motor mount and get it out. I looked at the Haynes manual instructions and it said something about removing a steering bar so I stopped reading, that may be necessary on the RWD since the rack is in the front of the crossmember, but doesn't seem applicable to the AWD. So any shortcuts, whatever would be appreciated.

I did this job in about an hour and a half maybe less first thing you're going to want to do is take the three bulbs out of the starter then remove the two bolts in the rack and pinion system in the front of the motor that allows the rack to be dropped the front wheels pulled in steering arm moves to the side take the motor mount loose on a motor Jack the motor up starter will come right out no problem reverse the procedure put it back together
