From what I understand, the 300 Touring/Limited RWD model should get the 5-speed automatic transmission starting sometime in the Fall. Does anybody know if cars with the 5-speed have started becoming available?

i thought all 300 models came w/ 5spd auto.. at least i know my c does. i never looked closely at the base models.

There was a thread a few months back advising that the V6 MY 2006 were getting the 5 speed. Take a look at:

Effective with production starting on September 6th, the 5-speed transmisison with AutoStick will become standard on all 3.5L 300 Touring and Limited Rear Wheel Drive models and standard on all 3.5L Magnum SXT Rear Wheel Drive models, replacing the current 4-speed transmission.

The MSRP price will be bumped by $100 to reflect the change...
