Wait, are you saying that non-C's don't come with a trunklid liner? That can't be right...can it?arnoldw said:For only 7,000 more, you could have had that cheap piece of felt (and 2 extra cylinders). :chairfall
Alas 'tis true! It's the only reason I got the "C". :shhh:yoonie said:Wait, are you saying that non-C's don't come with a trunklid liner? That can't be right...can it?
Yes, it's 'normal' for both the '300 Base' and '300 Touring' models. It's a simple DIY 'retrofit' which runs about $150 (including the additional required fasteners) and easily installs in only a few minutes. All mounting points are already there and it does require the permanent removal of the black plastic trunk-latch housing. :cool2:yoonie said:Er, so my 300 touring doesn't seem to have any lining on the trunklidl; it's just bare metal (which i managed to go 3 days w/out noticing in the excitement.) Is this normal?
Edit- After looking at some speaker installs, I've concluded this definitely isn't normal.
I was rounding. Did you want an exact dollar amount?d3vilz said:damn you paid 30 g's for a touring?
Mr. DJ, or whomever may read this message, this message was way back in '05, but basically what I am looking for in my car. SInce I have a base model, it is normal that the trunk lid liner isn't there, but I'd be very interested in buying one (I'd love a custom one that has either JL Audio or Boston Acoustic on it, but would be happy with a basic OEM one just the same) if anyone knows where to get a hold of one. A link to a web site that has one to order with the hardware included would be great. If I'm beating a dead horse and I can't get one, then I'll just ask you to chalk it up to me being new to the forum and not knowing the answer already.
Thanks...
