I put an order in with my local dealer for the AWD version of the 300C . Anyone have any update as to when they will start shipping, The dealer told me October, I don't think they know. There is nothing on the Chrysler website.

iheard from a dealership that chrysler was having problems with the AWD. not to expect it until around april next year..............who really knows.
I would be nervous if you ordered a AWD. We can not order these vehicles yet.
There's an AWD V-6 magnum sxt at royal dodge in Winnipeg $38,800.00 can.
They aren't scheduled to start building 300C AWD until November 15th.
(LXFS48) 300C AWD model has a Job #1 of 11/15 /04 this according to Production News
You can now "build" an AWD version on Edmunds and the Kelly Blue Book sites. Chrysler still hasn't updated their site yet although their Canadian site has been. I sure wish there was another wheel model to choose from, they leave a lot to be desired.

Well, I bet they WILL have a different wheel offered for the AWD.
Every "grade" of 300 has had its own wheel style so far.
Stay tuned...
The wheels that are on the AWD version (Canadian version at least) are what I was reffering to. They are six spoke polished aluminum. I think they would look at home on the Magnums, but not on a 300C.

This is the only photo a 300C AWD I could find at these two sites.
Can barely see the wheels in it - do you have a better photo of the AWD wheels?
Added a photo of the Magnum RT AWD - are those the wheels you were referring to?

Go to the 300 area on daimlerchrylser.ca and check out the colors and wheels section. It is the wheel furthest to the right.
That's not right....

Man, you were correctamundo - those (number 5) CAN't be the ones they really meant to specify. SHeesh! Make 24" dubs look "correct". :(

I just got an AWD, it's called a Pacifica. My C will rest in the garage when there's snow on the ground.
Has anyone heard any new news on the AWD models? The only thing I have seen new is Chryler rescheduled the start build date on the 300C AWD to 11-22-04, one week later than originally planned. Anyone with info such as when dealers can start taking orders please post. I am waiting patiently for that day.
The chrysler site is now updated with all the awd info and the ability to build it. I am really concerned that I waited for the AWD to come out and now I see it comes with herrific wheels. Those Polished wheels don't belong on a luxury car, especially with all that chrome on the C. If they wanted to use this wheel they should have made it an option on the C model. New rims will be even more necessary for those of us who won't be able to live with these terrible AWD polished wheels. Mabe the SRT-8 will really come as an AWD. Only time will tell.
Do the AWD 300C's get less mpg than the 2wd versions? The awd system is essentially Mercedes 4matic, correct. Has anyone driven there 300C 2wd in the snow, and if so, how does it handle. Do you guys use winter tires and/or all seasons for the winter? Thanks for your advice.

Directly right off of one of the Chrysler websites, "Note that AWD cuts Hemi engine down to 17/23."

Bottom line, they are saying city mileage is the same, but the highway mileage is 4 mpg lower. I am going to check out an AWD this week. I will report back.
I was told by my dealer I should be getting my AWD in April. The wheels are really ugly, as is the increased ride height.
My dealer called today and told me my awd has a tentative ship date of dec.19. I was surprised since I changed my order from 300c to 300c awd on dec 3. I won't believe it until it's sitting in my garage.
