300c pulling right

my 300c pulled right from the moment i left the lot
when i got home i called the dealer. he said bring it in right away
the district mgr. showed up along with a chrysler factory tech
they put the car on the alignment machine and said it was fine
they said the vehicle was following the crown of the road.
i was not allowed to go with them for the road test.
the district manager closed out my claim and when i called chrysler
they told me the claim was closed and the car was fine and there was nothing more they could do. END OF STORY.

Well not end of story, some dealers out there are real people like us.
they took the car back and put me into another 300c.
Funny that this car tracks down the road fine.
thank god for the dealer. I am very disappointed with chrysler Corp.

With that out of the way. the car is awesome.its black has every option but the cirrus.

going to have to wait on the u connect. my carrier verison wireless is still in the testing stage with the bluetooth. motorola V710

happy driving out there. this car is a real gem

I don't understand... How did you have a car that pulled to the right, and
officials from Chrysler declared it was okay, end of story? Then you turned around at another dealer and got another car? If your first car pulled noticeably to the right, how could they declare it okay? This is distrubing.

Did you get the dealer to explain what was wrong with the fist car?

The second car was 38368 the first was 34650. they bought the first one back for what i paid for it.

I had to pay the difference which was 3718. They had to pay off the note with chrysler and i fell into the 1000 rebate so the difference was 2718 plus the difference in sales tax.

i could have waited for the exact car they had ordered for me but i wanted out and this seemed fair.

chrysler would have charged me .38 a mile at 1450 miles, so i got the better of the deals here.

the first car fell under the 1000 loyalty rebate, so it made the upgrade easier'

it was very disturbing..it was the dealer i had purchased the car from not another dealer.

they first admited to the problem and sair they had a camber bolt kit to correct it.they
never put the kit in..they said the car was fine and closed the case.told me to go thru lemon law process. my dealer bought hte car back and issued me another.

the dealer could not come up with a reason.

there service dept. could not fix it.

they knew it had a problem.

i think chrysler has since solved the problem..

i bought this car on premier night so it had to be one of the first produced.

the one i have now is perfectly fine and performs well.

chryler not admitting to the problem was a nightmare.

thank god there are decent people out there

I noticed the same thing on the car that I first test drove.

And now the one we bought is doing the same thing, and I know it's not
the crown in the road doing it. I'll bet many of the C's are doing it and most people just havn't noticed yet.

It will be interesting to see how many cases pop up. (I smell a recall brewing)

I have heard of this with early build 300's

Another problem is that a lot of dealers do not have the correct alignment specs in their alignment machine because the model year is 2005. A good alignment tech should be able to correct the problem though.

Ours was built in March. Inside driver door had 0304, as I recall. Not sure this is March 4th or March, 2004. Either way sometime in March and before the April 25th date after which they are supposed to be rolling out of the factory with revised alignment specs. Our reallignment was done before May 25th when D-C issued a TSB with the revised specs. My wife still complains about a slight tendency to pull to the right, so I'll take it back in with the TSB in hand ( :) thanks for the post, MightyMax!) and have them check it again.

Update (6/8/04): Called for an appointment for new alignment. Dealer had gotten the TSB and said "Bring it on in." It's taking some time but everybody is willing to get this done right.

Mine was built 5/4 and goes straight down the road, no pulling at all. So it looks like those built after 4/25, with revised specs, are fine. Just wish it had been built about two weeks later, when they evidently started installing the "delayed availablity" tire pressure monitors!
