Hi Everyone,

Here are couple of pictures of the Long tube headers with the mid pipes installed on a SRT8 300

We have moved the location of the 02 sensors and with this setup there are no codes or check engine lights and the headers come with the correct 02 extensions and install without cutting or grinding

We will host up a video on our web site monday on the sound which is Awesome combined with the magnaflow exhaust

here is a link to the headers on our web site and they are in stock.!

Great News Scott!

that is awesome guys!
Can't wait for something legal here in California... :wink1:
hehehe
and we all know that'll never happen...
so go legal and get "shorty's" or go illegal for smog purposes and get the Kooks... freakin' Cally smog rules sometimes...
we are all going to die anyways... (ok, off the soapbox)
Scott, have you done any tests with "shorty's" - I know Gibson has a system for the 5.7L - does anyone have shorty's yet for the 6.1L?
And if so, are there any gains?
thanks!

FYI - everyone
I will be at Magnaflow this week to get the High Flow cats installed on my car.
I was the guinea pig car for those back in September (has it been that long)...
and we saw a max gain of 8-10hp...
so with my Magnaflow cat-back exhaust system on there...
this will be a good baseline number for everyone to compare the gain on the Kooks Headers overall to your system if you decide to add it to the Magnaflow cat-backs and high flow cats...
And I can't wait to hear Doyle's ride now with them on.
Once again Scott, thanks to you and Kooks for the development of these headers...

Doyle...

I"ll try to get to S.D. on the 14th and will be happy to let you give the car a try.
That would be great if you made it down...
As I want to hear them as well...
and I'll let Dan drive...
as I tend to flog and wind things all the way out...
And still can see John's (GSM John) leg and hand twitch when I drove his Supercharged 300 SRT8... :wink1:
freakyshiat

I posted something about it a while back...
Butt sensors says it is really quick...
it is way louder than my mine - maybe that is the headers... now that I think about it it is.
the time difference is probably .2-.5 secs quicker to 60 mph...
only way to find out is to put them side by side...
the tranny had no problem at all handling the shifts...
and I was using auto-stick pretty exclusively...
it does not like to downshift into 1st though like the "normal" SRT8...
is it worth $8K - no...
if you have an infinite amount of disposable income...
sure why not...
it is only money...

Doyle, Doyle, Doyle...
Of course this leaves me with a little more cash, and man, after talking to Scott about what is likely to come out, will I need it.

Don't be letting the cat outta the bag!

Oh and enjoy the vino...
sounds good!

I just got done working on the yard for the first time since I got hurt...
darn good thing I have a xeriscape yard... :wink1:
now it is time to open up something...
anything for that matter...
hmmmm...
a nice cold beer sounds good right now...
later!
