Last night while my brother was driving a part fell off.
It is black plastic and reads :
05029908-AA
CAV3
>PP<


I have no idea if this part has anything to do with the cooling system but it has what appears to be some coolant on it.

In looking underneath the car the plastic shield/guard is not attached in one corner and is partially hanging down.

On the way home from work the Engine Temp read 32 the entire time.


Is any of this related, and what is the function of the black plastic part that fell off?

How about a picture of the part? I don't want to make any assumptions.

I'm guessing and it's only a guess, that the part looks like a square tube about 10" long. The part number looks to be a brake cooling duct and based upon your comment that the underbody shield is hanging on one corner it is the most likely part to fall off. Look in the front of your car, below the fog lamps and see if you can see one opening with the brake cooling duct and the other side is just a hole.
