Z2S04, now we know what "14.0... getting closer and closer to 13.9" means. Maybe I missed your explanation when another member asked you the question on another thread

I just have to say that all you guys using the Hemi to it's full potential are an inspiration :)

I almost took it to the track, but it was pouring....I will attempt next Wednesday. Any advice would be helpful in the meantime. (Auto-Stick vs. standard Drive, revving to 2K before letting it go?)

I just removed the spare, and I'm ready to go. Heading to Cecil Co. in MD. I will post my time(s) tonight...
Under less than perfect conditions....14.325 @ 98.2...it sucks because people kept blowing up on the track, so I only got 1 run in.

Z2S04 - (Or anybody else for that matter) What things can be done for less than 3K to increase performance? I am asking because I have 3K to spend right now and I want to get the most bang for my buck...

Air in/Air out = intake and exhaust for starters. A K&N or some kind of "cold air" and exhaust are the first 2 that come to mind. Other than that, the biggest bang for the buck on my other car (see sig) are always gears and nitrous.
I don't think there is much out there right now for these cars. I'm sure a chip will be out soon though and I'm curious to see how the car responds to that (some respond well, and some don't do anything with a chip).

Be careful with your warranty though once you start modding...

I'd like to see mid to high 13s before my local track closes at the end of October. Well, that's if it with enough time for me to goto the track. I haven't seen many performance parts available for the 300C. One company that I spoke with might be making a long tube header package by the end of the year. I'm sure I'll be able to find some more parts when I head to SEMA (trade show) in November.

Tom, let us know what you find out at SEMA. I saw at LS2, that someone saw a 300C running pretty much consistent 13.8's at 102.xx.
Don't know any of the more important details such as 60, RT, temp, humidity, any weight relief in the car though. :( Maybe I'll go do a search for 300C there and dig it up.
LT's are a pretty good start. :D

I went to the track on 29 may 2009. I had a full tank of gas and a Diablo sport preditor 91 CAI tune. This is the first time I have ever driven on the 1/4 mile. My best time was 14.4 at 98 miles per hour. I know I can do better. I was having a problem with traction off the line. This hemi is awsome. Its as fast or faster than most of the musel cars of the 60s. If you want to compare 1/4 mile times with the old musel cars you can google how it works and put in the name of a car (1966 chevy chevell SS 396 375 hp ) it will pull it up and if you page down you will see all the specs. Engine weight hp 1/4 mile time. Most of the GM musel cars were about 3400 pounds. Our cars are almost 4200 pounds. That tells you how good this hemi is. I got down the track faster than a 1966 chevy chevell SS 396 375 HP that was 800 pounds lighter. I forgot to mention. I raced a subaru WRX and beat him by 1 tenth of a second. I ran a dodge neon SRT 4 and beat him by alot. I also ran a nissan maxima with a 150 shot of nitrus and beat him by 6 car lenghts. He said he missed 3rd gear. maybe he did but I still beat him.
