Car Tracking Service...gone, why?
Any idea why the car tracking service that used to be posted as a "sticky" at the top of this site is gone? I actually used this guys service when I ordered by 300C back in Sept. For $15 buck, this service was great and he was able to track the car better then my dealer. With this service I was able to tell the dealer the car was delivered to his lot before he even knew it...or so he says. I kinda think my dealer was going to try and sell the car I ordered for more more money, until I told him I knew it was on his lot.

I wonder...did DCX kill this service like they did the other guys service?

If you want daily updates of the exact location of your vehicle during the shiiping process all the way to the dealer. Email me at [email protected] for further details.
I know the location of my vehicle, it`s in Brampton. And I would`nt pay $17. for you to tell me that.

Your quote from a different thread: "I finally got Vin.# can someone let me know if there is anyway to track car status using Vin. besides the Chrysler tel.#. I ordered my 300C 1/3/06 called Chrysler today and they said it`s at the "Gateline" (D1) @ Brampton."

Scott,

Many people on this forum have been excited and completely pleased about using this service to track shipping of their long-awaited vehicles from Brampton to their dealership. There was once a very long thread regarding this service from someone who could provide answers that Chrysler couldn’t. You are the one requesting the information and someone is actually able to provide it for you.

That’s okay if you don’t want to pay for the service but you certainly didn’t have to say it in the manner posted. For all the free information we can glean from this forum, I hardly think paying a nominal fee for a service is something out of line (IMO).

Anyway, good luck on your anticipated 300c.

it does not work that way, I keep you informed daily of any new movements. It is not like I just tell you it left brampton and then be done with you. That would be a real rip off.

WOohoo! This will come in real handy o_O does it require just the VON or the VIN too?

you can use the VON, but I will not see any actual locations until there is a VIN assigned. I would be able to get the VIN from the VON # the day one is assigned.

Hehe. Autorail's service is the most awesome, once it gets to shipping it STILL comes in handy because of the ETA on when it'll get to the dealer.

The only thing is you have to resist temptation to tell the dealer exactly what you know when the salesperson calls and tells you that the car is expected to be there on *insert date here* and such :D I'm thinking to myself "Yeah I know and I know EXACTLY where it is too!"" .. hehe..

Just sent an email. Want to have the "further info" at hand once I get any vehicle status or ID info from my dealer.
