My car keeps blowing air from under the dash, even when the heat/air is turned off. It seems to remember the last setting. If the air is hot, I turn on the blower and adjust the temp control down, then when I turn the fan back off, it will keep blowing cooler air. No matter what I do I can't get the car to stop blowing air. It's always on.

Has anyone elese had this problem, or are my heater/air controls not working properly?

Just and update:

- I pulled the negative battery wire as suggested to reset the computers, but that did not fix the problem.

- I replaced the heater control as suggested, but the new one has the same problem.

My car seems to remember the last setting. If I turn on the heat and change the temp to 72then turn the heater off... it continues to blow warm air on my feet from under the dash. If I turn the fan back on and turn it down to 65 then turn off the fan, it blows cold air on my feet. I cannot get the damn fan to ever stop blowing air. It's either cold or hot, but never off.

Any other ideas? I can't believe I'm the only one experiencing this. Thanks for any and all help!

Sounds familiar. I've noticed lately that when I go out in cold weather, if I come back home and then go out say.. an hour later, I'll get blasted with cold air (which will come on just after that interval where the car has warmed up and will usually give you warm air).

Since I never turn the hvac off I've never noticed that problem you have though XD
