[Mopar Time?]

It seems natural that a car with 425 HP should have all wheel drive just to keep it on the road. Look at our neighbors in Europe and their high horse power vehicles and you will see all wheel drive. Living in a part of our great country where there is a chance of snow 6 months of the year, and that we
are near an all time measurement of 100" for the season, I have to ask the question, why not all wheel drive? Chrysler already offers the system in the 300c, with a 340hp hemi, can't the system take on 425 hp ? Isn't there room under the 6.1 Liter, or is that the problem ? It would be a no-brainer trading in my 528i Sport (great in the snow with proper wheels and snow tires) for the SRT8 beast ! Come on Chrysler, offer the all wheel drive as an option at least for guys like me that travel hilly winding snow cover roads to the office everyday of the year.

Like with the Eclipse GS-T vs. GS-X.... the FWD was faster, the AWD handled better. Europeans like the complete package, Americans just want to accelerate. I'll stick to my love of smoky RWD burnouts over silly things like handling

4wd would be nice but it adds weight and these cars don't need any more of that... I have a V with snow tires and it sucks in the snow, but it makes up for it when the roads are nice.

I think the cars (SRT-8 & V) could use more power... A few people are adding the Magna Chargers for the V, and I'm sure the SRT-8 will have some nice SC options in the near future.

I'm not counting on it... They'll probably put a SC N* or a bumped up LS2 (420HP?) in it. Actually, if they don't put the LS7 in it for '07, I'll probably get a C6.

If anything, my guess would be that the SRT-8 could end up getting what's in the E55, in the next few years...

OK Rambit; let's hear it. I asked him about this just a couple of days ago; he says that there is no plan to build an AWD SRT8, at least not for the '06 model. Maybe at a later date.
