Are all of the power take-offs, in the 300C always hot? In my 300M, the second power take-off was hot only when the ignition was on. One had to stand on their head to flip a switch in the underdash fusebox to make the second power take-off hot all of the time. Very annoying. Is this still the case with the 300C?

On my Lincoln LS, the second power take-off is always hot. I like this, as I can recharge my cell phone, while I am away from my car, and the cellphone is out of sight in the center console.

Thanks,

Unfortunately, the answer is yes (assuming you are talking about the power source inside the center console box, on its forward edge). This one is designed for electronic equipment. But that socket is not under the power reduction control and you CAN discharge your battery if a device is left on it when the car is idle. And the manual so states.

Best to use if only when running. The cigarette lighter, if there, is controlled by the power conservation watch, which will turn it off at the end of whatever power on setting you have set in EVIC.
