Not strange. My tint guy warned me NOT to put on metal material for tint or I would lose my antenna strength, so I went with a higher quality ceramic instead. If they are using metallic material, it just won't work as well. I am not sure where the Nav antenna is located (or if you have the NAV option), but I was cautioned to not use metal material or risk losing the satellite signal strength on that as well. Good luck!
I thought it was just me, I cant get am radio worth a damm since I tinted my windows and I live in a metropolitan area.

AM/FM antenna is the set of wires embedded in the rear window glass. Metallic content of some tints will effectively short out the reception capability of that antenna, particularly for the low end band of AM.

The OEM satellite radio antenna is that black bug on the top just above the rear window. Obviously, it will not be affected. The OEM NAV antenna is behind the NAV system under the dash. Unless you heavily tint the front window, it shouldn't bother its reception due to the very short frequencies at whic it works.
