In case anybody is looking for some chrome valve stem covers that lock into place here is what I purchased and have installed. They look great and I don't have to worry about anybody stealing them or letting the air out of my tires.

Here is the site.

One extra bonus is they match the locks on the doors.

That link is broken, but i found the website. THey offer several colors and then a solid finish as well.

How exactly do these things work? Anyone had issues with them since this post was first made?

Q: How do they work?

A: The cap is assembled with an outer sleeve that can spin freely when turned; this shields the cap from any gripping forces that may be applied by hand, thus effectively locking the cap in place. A key is used to bypass the outer sleeve when installing or removing the cap from the valve stem.

from the faq page of the poorly designed site-http://www.spincaps.com/faqs.html

sorry but even with a discount
I would'nt buy this.
18$ can be better spent.
I would be more worried about the $$$$ I have invested in the
wheel/tire than the valve cap.

yeah, I wasn't sure if valve stem cap theft was a concern... but i guess if you had a bunch of hooligans running around your neighborhood, you might want to buy a set to keep them from letting your air out of the tires.

Other wise..???

I hadn't either, but then again it was started long before either of us were even here 3 years ago...too funny.

I agree, waste of money.
