Hey guys, I just got a new 08 300 LX/base model. I was thinking about putting 22's on it, but I am worried about possible mechanical problems. Since the motor is so weak, would running heavy 22" rims cause undo stress on the motor for daily driving? I know the car would be even slower, but is this not recommeded for the engine? Thanks!

No problems

I've had 24's on my Base model for over a year and haven't had problems. So you shouldn't worry. My rims alone are 74lbs each. So with tires it's should be close to around 90 or higher. I do notice my car isn't as fast and doesn't get as good gas mileage but I guess you have to choice what's more important to you.
