This is the second time my dealer has tried (even came to my office to do so) and the software says something about a PIN code being invalid. Anyone know anything about this?

Sounds as if the parts person doesn't know how to code the key. Suggest you contact the Parts Manager and let him fix the problem. If that doesn't work, the General Manager ought to get if coded for you.

Coding is a bit complicated and requires your currently coded key to get the pin to begin coding the new blank. If they aren't using a current, valid key, they are wasting your time.

as a matter of fact the dealer somehow lost one of my keys when i picked up the car.they burned a new one for me, but their encoding device (startech?) was inop, so they had to borrow one from the dodge dealer (same company) across the street. fine now.
