I have an 2006 SRT8...will this mod work and are the claims listed below true?

ASP 300C/Magnum 5.7L Harmonic Balancer Crank Pulley
Underdrive pulley systems increase engine horsepower by reducing the amount of power required to drive external engine accessories. For example, the alternator, power steering, water pump and air compressor rob horsepower from the engine. By replacing factory-sized crank and accessory drive pulleys with a resized pulley, the accessories are slowed, resulting in more horsepower available to the drive wheels. Typically, a set of Auto Specialties street pulleys will increase horsepower by 12-15, and increase mileage by 2 to 3 MPG. All pulleys are manufactured from Billet Steel or Aluminum, exceeding factory quality
Believe it or not???

"Typically" is the work to key in on .. the claims are general and not necessarily specific to the SRT8 applications.

My 450 RWHP truck picked up 11 rwhp with a Underdrive pulley set.

A 10-12hp increase is common but I wouldn't plan on the 2-3 MPG gain. We carry the complete line of ASP pulleys so I'll see what they have to say tomorrow.
Any update?

I wonder why so long? pulleys are usually one of the first mods to come out and to be done. I don't know shit from shinenola but is it that difficult and involved to figure out and develope different sized pulleys needed to squeeze out a few more horses

ASP produces pulleys for many different vehicles. Not sure why these won't be available until Feb but they are constantly coming out with products for new cars/trucks. So one or two groups get to say "yeah, we have pulleys" while others are saying "how come they haven't made them yet?". :)
