I did not see any specifics on this topic yet. If the information is buried in the show your double din thread which looks to be mostly older cars then I apologize. However. I felt a need to post this as I could not find this information very easily. I am not sure if people are holding on to it like its gold or maybe its common knowledge ir what the deal is. So I am going to share with you some really bad pictures and stuff.

First the 2008 300c comes with a double din bezel. No need to get the navigation bezel. Watch out on ebay as some people list them as 2k5 2k6 2k7 and 2k8 which could be a little confusing to some. I understand with a little modification the older bezel will fit but I can not confirm nor deny that at this point in time.

You will need a dash kit. The one I used which I am not happy with is made by a company called "Best" (which it wasn't). I probably should of told the car audio place screw you i'll find a metra some where else damn it, but I didn't. I have seen this topic mentioned so you should be able to find a part number for it pretty easy. I think its the 99-6511

In addition to this you will also need some type of harness which I know this topic has been beat to death as well. Pretty easy to find that info. For the time being i'm using the PAC RP4-CH11 they can be found from 80-140 dollars new. Here is a picture of the actual plug you will be mating it too in the car. there are two of them one is white one is gray. you need the gray one.

Here is an image of the happy little area we are going to stuff our new head unit. looks fitting and inviting. what deception it holds

Now the problem that arises when using a full size double din is in the mounting area behind the head unit. I have circled in red the spots you'll want to knock down first. There are two tiny tab like objects on the top and the two big bump areas on the bottom. you can see the scuff marks from trying and wishing the unit would just squeeze in. It would not sadly.

We handle this with a hack saw.

I apologize for not getting a final cut out picture. So I drew a red line on the bottom one to give you an idea of how low you actually need to trim sand cut whatever you wanna do to get rid of the plastic stuff stopping you. About a good 1/4in down and you should be okay. As far as the top plastic tabs. Attempt to cut those as flush as possible. You could could probably flush cut the bottom and be fine as well too. Please note all the plastic shavings. Take a moment to vac the area when you are done.

Once you have dont that you are pretty much ready to pop your double din head unit in place after you attached your mount kit to it. screen it down and pop your bezel on and you end up with something like this.

I also had some video as well. The language could be kind of strong for some viewers in it. I do vent a little about trying to find this information either via youtube or this forum or a few others as well. The comments and remarks are not directed at any particular forum in general nor at any particular thread or person. (yes that was a disclaimer)

They will show the area cut out and the wiring mess we made with the harness as well as finished install.
