Today I go to put up my front window with the auto click button and it is not working. This happened to me when I first got my car and just started working again. Is there a trick to get this button to work and why does it just stop working. ANY SUGGESTIONS

/edit/

I remember a thread on this forum a while ago referencing this as a side effect of something else someone did...have you popped any fuses out or anything?

Just a random idea here.... if you disconnected your battery for any reason, you have to "re-train" the one push up feature. Search for "battery reconnect procedure" and you should get a hit on the details of this.

Never touched the battery. Just stopped working for some weird reason.
It happens to me too. Sometimes it works and other times it doesn't. Haven't figured out the combo yet or why it would be a problem. On my S430 it wouldn't go up all the way sometimes...go figure!

Found it: Thanks for the search idea!

reconnect your battery, reset and center your steering wheel, and reset balky power windows:

STANDARD PROCEDURE

BATTERY RECONNECTION
Note: This reconnection procedure is to be performed anytime the battery has been disconnected.
1. Connect the battery negative cable (2) to the battery post and tighten the clamp nut.
2. Install the rear compartment floor trim panel.

CAUTION: Once the battery has been connected, review and perform the following information also as applicable:

AUTO UP FRONT WINDOW
If the vehicle is equipped with the auto-up front window feature, once the battery is reconnected the door module needs to be calibrated. The door module requires calibration anytime the battery or door module has been disconnected for any length of time. To calibrate, perform the following:
1. Connect the battery cables.
2. Using the window switch, raise the window to the full UP position. Hold the switch in position for 1 second, then drive the window all the way down to the bottom.

ELECTRONIC STABILITY PROGRAM (ESP)
If the vehicle is equipped with ESP, once the battery is reconnected, the Steering Angle Sensor (SAS) needs to be calibrated. The SAS requires calibration anytime the battery or an ABS (ESP) component has been disconnected for any length of time. To calibrate, perform the following:
1. Start the engine.
2. Center the steering wheel.
3. Turn the steering wheel all the way to the left until the internal stop in the steering gear is met, then turn the wheel all the way to the right until the opposite internal stop in the steering gear is met.
4. Center the steering wheel.
5. Stop the engine.

Wow sounds like alot of work just to get the stupid window to go up are you sure this is how you get it fixed.
Just hold it up for and wait a second...then push auto down...seems pretty simple.

If your dealer disconnected or let your battery drain before you picked it up then it hasn't been calibrated. I disconnected my battery to install my Jet Chip and that's when I started having the problem. We will see if this works...

So I get inconvenienced to hold the button up until it is closed... :wink1:
When I take it in next time - I will bring it up...

Easy fix for the window. Hold the auto up switch until the window goes all the way up, keep holding it for at least 3 seconds or so after the window is raised all the way up (this programs the auto up feature), then release. This is it, your auto up should now work fine. It worked for me and the window has been perfect ever since.

Man I love this forum.
I was just about ready to make a service request as my passenger side window would not auto up or down. Did the fix mentioned here and it works like a beauty now.

Thanks!
