Had my Pirelli scorpion Ice and Snows mounted on the Mopar Police steel wheels yesterday. while the car sat at the dealership, a young 300 owner wanted to buy the "neat black rims". Today, my neigbour, who restores cars (currently has a 55, 56, and a 57 T-Bird in his workshop - doing ground up restorations) came over to me and said the wheels looked good on the car.

Here are some pics:

definatly nice lookin NR! they look mean as hell, and i thought i wasnt going to dig them as i thought theyd just look like a wheels whos hubcap fell off....but on youre ride (which looks alot like mind) they really set it off!
do you plan on only using these to get you through the cold canadian winter and then switch back to the chromes?

also you said $92 from dealer? is this per wheel or for a set of 4? i need new tires anyways and im thinking i might just have the dealer order these with some new tires n mount them if i decide to take my car out in the winter.

Yeah, I thought they'd be ugly - but the actually look good. They are coming off in the spring - they are quite heavy.

The price was per wheel CDN - I've heard as low as $75.00 US.

Looks good NR

I think you may have made my winter wheel decision for me.

Do you think they'll hold up without rusting?

BYW have you gone through a winter with the contis?

I was originally going to put the stock rims with the cntis back on and let it ride for this first winter.

Chas, I don't think they'll rust. I put 2 coats of paint sealant on them.

Last winter, I started off with the intention of using the Contis. After some real cold weather and some ice, I decided i wanted better grip. went to the Scorpions. They actually outperormed the contis even on dry pavement.

Sounds like a deal then

I'll contact my dealer tomorrw and see if he can get me the wheels.

Is there a specific Chrysler SKU # for them?

Your parts guy will need this: part# 04895425AA

May have to look under Charger R/T or Magnum R/T.

Most dealerships are not aware of the existence of this wheel.

Is it me or do those barely clear your brakes? It looks like you have maybe 1/4" from rotor to wheel.
James, I just measured the clearance. there is at least 1.5" - so no worries there.

Rob, as long as you have good snow and ice tires the 300C is great in the winter. My tire size is 235/60/18"

300carm - They are called moldings. The 300's and Magnums have a lot nicer look without them. Nice clean lines and big fat side pannels.

thank u for translation my personal opinion is that when u remove them there are still parts left on the bumpers so it kind of doesnt mach to me
