Bolt Pattern ?

Quick question,
This might sound stupid but if rims came off a 5X112 bolt pattern and were going on a 5X114.3 would they fit?

A friend of mine took 20's off his CL 500 (5x112) and was selling them to a kid with a STS (5x114.3). I was wondering if they would fit.
