I never put the emergency brake on, but my brake light will flash until i pick up on the emergency brake release. It has done this since it had 4 miles on it, however it does seem to be getting better. Is this normal?

mine does the same....maybe once every week or so. has done it since new. i would just get your dealer to adjust it if it bothers you. i'm sure they are adjustable.

mine does it too, approx 1 time a week, i just live with it, and pull release, prob overly sensitive, imo.

I’ve had this same thing happen. When I’ve mentioned it they say “Oh you must be bumping the pedal” when I know I’m not. So for weeks I methodically watched my every move getting in and out of my car to see how I “bumped the pedal.” I’m sure if someone were noticing how I was moving in and out of the car they would have thought I had a royal case of hemorrhoids or something!

If this is the only trouble I have big whoop!

I never use the emergency brake. I get the light on about twice a week. I never hit the emergency brake pedal by accident. Must be a common problem. Next time it is in the dealers I'll get it looked at. Regards, Bob.

If you are machanically able, it is adjustable.
Mine did the same and I simply adjusted the trigger on the brake pedal.

Mine does the same. I just assumed I accidently hit the pedel getting in (and sometimes I do).


I only use it parking on hills.

Where I park, I could leave it in N and it wouldn't go anywhere.

Tooooo funny. I use mine when on other than very flat ground. Maybe every other day or so. Bonus is that I never get an unwanted warning light now.
