I took delivery of my car on April 9, the door jam says it was built in April? Is there a way for anyone to find out my build date from my vin? Thanks
Look on the driver's door sticker (on the door jamb, just at door handle level). Date of MFG: gives mo and yr, on the upper right. On that same sticker, lower left, under MDH: gives your day and hour of "build". For example:

Date of MFG: 4-04

MDH: 041512 (or April 15, 1200 hours)

DC has indicated that "C"'s built 4/29/04 or later should NOT have the drifting problem. For those built before that date, dealers are authorized to fix using various methods to get into specification. These include realignment, shifting tires/wheels, moving the front cradle, and/or installing a newly-designed bolt which is supposed to provide a greater alignment capability.

Sometime thereafter, the tire monitors should also have been installed.

Here are two VIN Decoder sites.
The VIN only has the year the car was built.
Unfortunately neither of these decoder sites give out the correct car info.
Maybe the year 2005 cars needs to be updated.
My C VIN says the Hemi is a Chrysler: 2.5L V6 SOHC MFI [email protected]

Please check your driver's door sticker as described in the msg above yours for the correct info on your build date, etc. More info also given there. That is the latest for your car.

You explained it perfectly (although I don't have my car yet and can't check it), I was just posting what the VIN does/does-not provide.

Here's a mystery for you. `08 300C SRT Design. Door sticker says 2-08 for the build. However, when buying a new oil filter, the dealer wanted to know thee VIN as there were two different non-interchangeable filters for that year. Mine was the "newer" version needing a PH2. Is there any significance to this?
