My NAV DVD no longer works in my unit. It is pretty scratched up. However my computer is able to read it. Can I just burn a copy of it and it will work in my Nav or is there any sort of copy protection on the DVD

Yes you sure can copy it and there's no copy protection. You'll need a dual layer DVD though.
