Hi Guys,

so I had this carputer for over a year now, but I wasn't able to fix my 8.4" screen into the Nav Bezel ... anyway I ordered the In-Dash Xenarc MDT X 7000 2 months back and finally got it :fing02:

So I was officially back into the Project

Stage I :

  1. Fixed the Screen
  2. Installed the Carputer
  3. Added a Sub and Amp
  4. Installed the Front-End "Centrafuse"
  5. Added a GPS Receiver
  6. Installed a Rear-View Camera (Kenwood - wide view)

Stage I Pictures:

Stage 1 Videos:

YouTube - Carputer

YouTube - Carputer 2

YouTube - Carputer 3

Stage 2:

  1. Molding the Bezel (Already placed an order for a new Non-Nav Bezel)
  2. Arrange all the wiring
  3. Build a proper box for the Sub+Amp+Carputer (Fiber)
  4. Installing a Front-view camera

Special Thanks To:
  1. Eugene
  2. MGD

What do you think guys  ???

looks good, i like it.

are you able to retain ur steering wheel controls for use with the carputer?
Thanks :fing02:

Actually a company called Car2PC develops special harnesses to retain the steering wheel controls once you install a carputer but they don't yet have one for our cars ... but I recall reading a thread at MP3car where they were looking for Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep to test their new harness ... but I didn't follow-up ... Anyway I got used to the remote-control that came with the head-unit and I never thought about the steering controls YET

Mine was a dynamix 8" wide screen, taken out of the original housing and fitted in a home made housing out of ABS with the same bolton pattern as the original radio. No modification of the bezel needed. Here is a link to the monitor.
