Just heard from one of my buddies (who was "hanging out at the watercooler in a big building") that the Charger SRT-8 will feature a 200-watt Kicker subwoofer, vs the 100-watt version in the other LX models. The amp is the same, 276-watt... what's up with that?

I would say the rumor is 1/2 true. The sub will be a bigger 200 watt one, but the amp will not be 100 watts. I would assume it would double to match the subwoofer output. So a 200 watt amp is what it is going to have. The 100 watt amp will not be sufficient/efficient enough to power a 200 watt sub.

As far as the 300 and Magnum, remember the magnum srt 8 has an open cabin with the sub, so it pounds hard already. The 300 srt 8 is designed to be a luxury car with monster power. The Chrysler image is more up-scale as the dodge image is more sport/aggressive oriented. Both brands attract different demographics.

What's the Buzz....tell me what's a happening....

Heck, I dont' even know what a fully functioning Kicker system sounds like yet. Been waiting for replacement parts for the system since I picked up the car in July. The speaker in the trunk's only functionality is to generate an electronic buzz....nothing else. It does this continuously whenever the car is "on" and even for a short period when the car is off....annoying as crap. As with everything else "kicker" with the car....wait......and wait................and wait.....................................................and wait for replacement parts for the speaker/amp (who know's-I sure don't) to be shipped in from Detroit . This speaker system better be a religious experience when I finally hear it working correctly, because it has been the single biggest pain in the butt getting the car and getting the car up to snuff.

Is there only one speaker in the trunk on the left side? or on both sides? My dad's SRT8 is supposed to be in early next week so I guess I can find out then but I'm curious. On Dad's "C" (that I'm buying) I installed a 110v power inverter on the right side of the trunk, which I planned to switch over to his SRT8 when it gets in. If there's a speaker on the right side , though, I'm gonna hafta re-engineer a bit and maybe relocate the inverter. No big deal, i'd just have to make up new cables if I can't put it in the same spot.. Anyone know if there's a speaker on the right also? (it's a 300c srt8, not the magnum) Thanks!

FYI - I LOVE MY KICKER SYSTEM!!!

and will be willing to go bigger and try out one of those systems that the corporate honchos shot down of yours cause it was "too" loud...
