Sorry that it's not a rufty tufty 400 bhp+ turbo, nitrox, 160mph looking over my shoulder while having a tattoo branded onto my shoulder question, but please can someone offer some advice.

My 300c crd will be delivered to me (hopefully) at the end of Jan 06 and i am curious as to whether my existing childseat - a Britax Elite is compatible with the car. Britax USA aren't much help & Britax UK go "a Chrysler what - nah, I've never heard of that one before".

Any help from your experience would be very helpful ( I am aware of the Latch system or ISOFIX as it is called in the UK), but if I can use my existing seat it would be handy.

I have 5 Britax seats and they IMO are the best seat in the world. I can fit 3 in the rear of my C, it is a tight fit using the latch/Isofit.

If your seat does not have the built in individual latch belts for each side and the top tether then you should upgrade. My older Britax with the single belt that goes through the seat and anchors to the latch hooks is not nearly as secure as the seat with individual belts that are attached to metal bars on each side of the seat.

Britax Marathon in the US

I have a Britax Marathon, and it fits real nice. I live in the states, so I do not know if they make the seats differently here (I doubt it). My only complaint is that the buckles on the seat seem to rattle when traveling above 107 MPH. :wink1:

Cheers II kings 9:20 that is just the type of info that I am looking for. My currrent seat (Britax Elite) is secured via the seat belt and is a nice snug fit.
The Isofix (latch) seat that attaches to the frame that is fitted to my wifes PT is as tight a fit as it comes (as you say).

thanks for that. I am sure that safety standards will be the same of both sides of the Atlantic - Britax sell the same seats world wide with different names so I'll do some checking. As for the rattle above 107 mph, have you tried giving your toddler a dummy to calm him/her down.
