Are you talking about the Jet Chip? I use the stage II and love it.

I was getting 17.1MPG on the hwy. I put a K&N Typhoon CAI, Zoomers cat back exhaust and the Jet Chip in and I now get 21MPG at 75MPH.

I drive it like I stole it, now I'm averaging 18MPG city and hwy. My throttle response is instantaneous and I can pass anything with authority.

Just doing the chip alone won't buy you much. Seat of your pants testing done by some in this forum proves that. You have to let this elephant motor breathe.

I paid $150.00 on eBay, speed_shack is the seller and is great to deal with. Fast shipping. When you install it toss the stock dust cover and it will slide right in.

What do you guys think about ECU reprogaming? I was thinking of the chip but can that hurt the computer?
I've never met a computer that can have its feelings hurt...

Advances timing, changes air fuel mix and "maybe" shift points...not a lot of modification being done. You can also take it out and plug the cable in its slot before taking it back to the dealer if you encounter engine issues...

Yes Eric, that's truly the way to go....I'm waiting for someone to hack the ECU and come out with an edit program so dyno tuners can REALLY start doing some wonderful stuff.

The stock SRT-8 at WOT 3500rpm-reline runs at high 11:1 of 12.0:1 AFR.

Believe it, there's a lot that can be done even in stock form.

Any modified car needs to have its EFI customized. That's just the way it is. Imagine if you had a carbuerated hot rod and could hardly adjust any carbuerator settings. It's the same thing.

Start adding head work, cam, valve train, throttle body, intake, etc....and you really need to edit your own EFI.
