Chrysler Extended Warranty Cost For SRT 8/300c?

I know Rambit has some good info on another thread, but I was curious as to what everyone else may have paid for a 7/75 or a 7/60 or any other bumper to bumper warranty on their SRT 8 or 300c. I also need to know what the deductible is, $0, $50, or $100. I am currently being offered a 7/60 w/ a $50 deductible for $1440. They also offfer a 7/75 w/ a $50 deductible for $2070. Doesn't seem worth the extra money for the extra 15k miles of warranty. I appreciate any quotes you may have as well as any feedback you can give me. Thanks.

Be aware that there is a lot of negotiating room when purchasing an extended warranty. The dealers have a tremendous markup on the list price. Be hardnosed and deal. Let them know you do not have to purchase it when you buy the car.

Dealer costs?

Any insiders out there who know the dealer costs for the various extended warranties? Unfortunately you can't get these on edmumds or cars.com.

Here is Chryslers own website, where you can get the info on all the warranties you
want: http://www.eservicecontracts.com/Default.htm

I got the Maximum care, 7/70 plan, with a ZERO deductable, for $1170.00.

You can print out the info on all the warranties, bring it to your dealer, and ask
them to match it, or you will just buy it straight from Chrysler.

They will match it in most cases, because even at the actual price, they still get
something for it.

Oh, and just as a side note, before I found the Chrysler website, my dealer told me
they would sell me the Maximum plan, with a zero deductable for $1600.00 if I
bought it at the same time as I picked up the car.

I told them to go pound sand, did about 5 minutes of research, found the actual
Chrysler website, printed the info, went back to them a day later, and saved myself
almost $500.00!!

up here in canada, the prices seem to be way higher and there was a 1350 extra charge on any of the warrentees since it is an srt. So I went without and would pick one up sometime later. Now i am going to go over all the info you all have provided and go back to dealership.

Boy this is a nice car.

TALK THEM DOWN!!! It works.

I paid $1070 on a 7/60k (upgradable and transferrable) with NO deductible. The offere deductibles at low miles that are EXTREMELY cheaper tha say 7/85-100k.

I don't put near that amount of miles on so it was worth it to save some bucks.

Before I bought my extended warranty, I did 5 second search of this website, and
found the above post, along with a lot of others, that had all the extended
warranty info in them.

I bought my extended warranty on 3-9-05, over two months ago, and posted my
own experiences about the money I saved, along with these other folks who posted
to the same thread.

The info is out there, and a quick search a month ago would have brought this
information to light, and could have saved you alot of money!

I just went on the website and the only maximum care plan was around $1130, I didn't see anything listed for $1170 and it was a 7/60 plan, not 7/70? When you say 7/70 plan, do you mean 7/75? Please let me know if you actually called econtracts for the $1130 price. Also make note that econtracts is not Chrysler. They are a dealer in Iowa.

Just noticed that cars that came with a 7/70 original powertrain warranty, can actually get a 7/70 maximum care for $1170. SRT 8's come with a 3/36 original warranty so our options are a 7/75 for $1560 w/ a zero deductible and a 7/60 like vvv90 got for $1070. vvv90, saved $60 more off the the econtract price of $1130. I am going to possible call Redwinger or econtracts to see what they can do as well. My dealer probably won't match the much better price I get elsewhere.

Is anybody aware of a similar site with Canadian pricing? All I could find was

http://www.daimlerchrysler.ca/CA/03/EN/OWNERS/SERVICE/SERVICE_CONTRACTS/max.pdf

... no pricing.

I have Rambit's price point C$3,260 + tax for plan #365 (5 year/100,100 km), but it would be nice to see the ranges. I also don't get the impression that you can buy Chrysler Extended Warranties outside of Dealerships in Canada (at least based on my googling) and hence competitive bidding doesn't seem to exist north of the 49th.

Thanks,

Johnny, touch base with Kevin Whittrock and Whittrock Motors/econtracts as I am sure he will match the best price you find out there and he struck me as a real straight shooter. I purchased the 6/70 max. care plan w/ no deductible for $1080 and then returned it for a full refund a month and a half later when I decided to get an SRT-8. And those are DCX warranties.

Do you have a website for them?

You would be surprised by what a dealer will do when confronted with information
about cheaper priced items.

If you print out the info you find on the extended warranties, and present it to
your dealer, and say match it, and the business is yours, or don't match it, and I
take my business elsewhere, the dealers will usually accept the offer.

Its worth a try if you are talking about saving over $400.00. What do you have
to loose? Nothing. What do you have to gain? $400.00 in your pocket!

Remember, the eservicecontracts.com are FACTORY extended warranties, not some
Unkel Zeke's we got them thar extendeed warnoties.

I have a friend who bought an extended warranty from some unknown internet
place because of the great initial price, only to have the place go out of
business, and he was out his money for the warranty, and had to buy another one!

Be aware of what you buy. A Chrysler warranty is good at any Chrysler dealership
anywhere in the country. Some of those aftermarket warranties are only good at
certain places, which may or may not be an actual Chrysler dealership.

Hey Gorgle:

Don't forget about the "free" oil changes and what that is worth over the 5 years with the cost of Mobile 1 synthetic. I realize nothing is free, but it's something to consider. I''ll be due in a couple of weeks for my first 3 month oil change and will only have 1000 miles on it. All the other stuff that's included is not too shabby either. I personally think with these warranties, you'll get what you pay for in the end. It's just like cut rate insurance companies and how hard it is to get what you thought you were paying for.

Maybe steve88 can find out from his dealership what plans are available with pricing for Canadians.
