I see comp cams is advertising a new cam for the 6.1 and they say it is making 61 additional hp. Does anyone know anything more about it? When I spoke to them they also said there sister company was working on a new intake that was also worth some additional power.

thats the same cam for the 5.7.

its probably a bit on the more radical side. we are going to test it along with 2-3 other cams on my heads/cam upgraded magnum srt8. hang tight and let me be the guinee pig. i will let you know how it performs with my other mods.

I was surprised to hear there were aftermarket cams for the 5.7L/6.1L as I thought the rocker geometry was at the limit and additional lift sideloaded the valve.

The cams must hold lift and extend duration/increase ramp speed.

Anyone know the specs?

I called them and they said they have no intention of getting them certified and they are still having issue with the check engine light. They have not tested a 6.1 at all, it all based on the fact it is the same block.

You guys know I will not let good hp slip past me
