I have found that the carpeted area next to the gas pedal is getting dirty already at 500 miles.

Many new vehicles including our '03 silverado pickup have a hard plastic area where the right foot might touch the console side, seems like a silly way to save money that the 300C doesn't have one.

Anyone know if there is an aftermarket part for this, I haven't seen one. If not, someone might be missing the chance to make one and market it. I am not interested in doing that.

Anyone know what is immediately behind that area of the console? If I made up a plastic shield and put it on with short screws, would that work? Or maybe velcro would stick to that carpet?

Yes, I am having that problem too. Also have about 500-550 on the clock. A routine quick cleaning with Resolve followed by a good vacuuming helps...but it's a nuisance to do it every other week. As coincidence would have it, I have been planning on doing that very thing tomorrow, myself.

I would hate to see someone sinking screws into the tranny hump.....or anywhere else, for that matter. My vote would be to try velcro.

It does seem quite the tactical error, not designing this into the carpet set. Lack of forethought is never a good sign.
