read your tire... and go a lil less than max ...

Yeah it depends on the tire, some can go up to 50 while others only handle up to 40, and because tire pressure increases when the tires get hot, you don't want to have it too close to that, that's all.

I was told a rule of thumb is 10 psi below max psi. My max is 50 psi on the tire and I have NITROGEN filled to 40 PSI...

According to that guide, we should be running 43 psi (4100/100) + 2. That seems kinda high to me considering my factory 20's require 32 psi. I'm running 36 psi in my new 22's and it feels really firm already. 43 would ride like a rock.
