Has anyone had a cracked rim on the 300C?? I have had 2 in the past month and a half....
The wheels are a very strong, lightweight aluminum alloy (23lbs). This is the first post I have heard of an OEM 18" rim cracking - let alone 2. As mentioned, the chrome is plastic cladding. Is that where the crack is?Broken Rims said:Has anyone had a cracked rim on the 300C?? I have had 2 in the past month and a half....
Such a crack is a safety concern. When you say Chrysler does not want to deal with it - are you referring to the dealer or the manufacturer?Broken Rims said:the cracking starts at the edge odf the inside of the rim and starts to travel across the base of the rim to the other side ( which is the outside of the rim}
You have to take the tire off to see the crack running across the rim,
you gotta watch out for those potholes there killers on any rims and suspensionBroken Rims said:the cracking starts at the edge odf the inside of the rim and starts to travel across the base of the rim to the other side ( which is the outside of the rim}

Because of my driving style, I check rims, tires and pressures every week. No problems so far.Broken Rims said:Word to the wise, keep an eye on this thing with the rims... I have never in my life ever had a rim crack on me,,,,let alone 2 in less than 3 months in all the years I have been driving.....
