Are the daytime running lights supposed to work in conjunction with the turn signals such that if I turn on my left turn signal the left daytime running light turns off till the signal disengages ? All the while the right DRL will remain illuminated constantly.

Yup, you got it right!!!!! Did you also know that if you lightly pull up or down on the turn signal stem that your signal lights will cycle 3 times? Good for changing lanes etc!!!

Not exactly a DRL question BUT was hoping someone could help:

Does anyone know if there is an adjustment available to mandate when the "automatic lights on" feature will engage? Seems as if it has to be pitch black before they go on.
I like the auto on wipers adjustment - just wondering if the same was available for the headlights.

No adjustment TMK, you have a bad sensor, mine come on in the garage in most mornings in the daylight, and I have windows in my garage.

Why do they suck? It's a very good safety feature and lots of folks south of the border would love to be able to enable this feature.
I agree MJ, a better question for your friends south of the boarder is where is this fuse to yank, if it can be yanked perhaps I can put one in the proper empty spot and voila, DRLs for all. My Saab had a fuse, the DRL was silly, all lights on all the time

Well, if it is just a fuse (or maybe a relay), the ASM at my stealership has been unable to figure it out. And his district manager suggests we not fool with Mother DC's wishes for us Yanks to be DRL-less!
