I've searched all over the 'net, and even these forums. I'm usually pretty good at digging up info, but this time I'm at a loss. I have yet to find any information available regarding the differences between the 2005 and 2006 model year 300C. I've read (at another forum site) that the 7/70 warranty got cut back, but other than that my dealer just says "there are no differences". Is this true?

Thanks!

Different coils so that there are no plug wires, 300M LH style autostick functionality, and more EVIC stuff (like Oil Temp) are differences I've seen in pictures or read on these forums.

No, that is not correct. There are a few dealer sheets on this website. The main differences are the warranty, a/v inputs, trunk handle closer inside, rear dvd system in the middle console, and some colors discontinued and gained. I pretty much forgot it since I've been waiting so long after being bumped from an '05 to an '06. Others can chime in.

No trunk handle, no AV inputs...

Well, at least on my 2006 300C, build date 3-31-05 at 8AM, the only noticeable difference is that I do have the graphic/digital tire pressure monitor on the EVIC.

Oh, and NO 7/70 Powertrain warranty too. :eek:uch:

My unit does NOT have the interior trunk pulldown, nor the AV external inputs... maybe they are in later 2006's, I think someone (ResumeSpeed?) said that mine would have been built in the first week...

My 2006 300c built 14 April does not have the a/v input, trunk pull down cups or the dash light for the cruise.

THANKS for the accurate list! This place is such a great wealth of information - I really appreciate your posts!

Pull CUPS seems different than a handle/strap, so I'll look again today at the trunk lid interior.

I wonder if the AV input is on the back of the REC and not easily accessible without removal?

I do have the amber LED on the cruise stalk, but no visible dash light.

Thanks again!

Great question, I wouldn't have known without the help of the guys here!

There's a sticker on the driver door jamb with MDH (month, day, hour) which is the build date/time. So: 033108 on mine equals: March 31, 2005 at 8AM.

Also, the folks at Brampton left a manifest in the glovebox which had a date/time at the top of 03/31/05 at 9:15AM.

i think those 2006's that have early build dates without the AV and other items might have been 2005's that they sold as 2006's. i remember seeing something about that somewhere. :wtf1: HMMMMMMMMMMMM

On my 2006 300C MDH says 051407 Separate line MFG DATE says 5-05.
Translates into 14 May 2005.

Cruise control light is on the stalk. It is not always visible which depends on seating position and steering wheel position. There is no front A/V input.

Pull cups????? There are 2 rubber things on the internal edge of the truck lid. I am not sure should be pulling these. They do not look strong enough to be pulled. I think they are amortizers...

User manual mentions optional SmartBeams, i.e smart high beams which I do not think is available yet. According to the description it turns high beams on and off depending on the surrounding light condition and detectable tail lights or headlights. May be later in the year.
