well its been just about over a weeks since all this happend. i wanted to post it the day(s) that it all hapened, but couldn't because i was so sick of telling the story that i really didnt feel like typing it.

ok i go to orlando chrysler dodge jeep hunday(?) trade in my expedition for a black 300c. its got everything excpet for hid's and a sunroof. i really wnated both of these options, but figured i could do without. while were buying the car the sales manager who's name is Shane says that they have a company that does sunroof installs. he says that it will look exactly like a factory one, and be covered under my warrenty. so we work it into the deal and everything is good.
come back about 2-3 weeks later to get the sunroof installed (becasue i live like a hour or 2 away and just never had time) drop it off TEUS. morning and was supossed to pick it up tues. night around 7 o'clock. they tell me that there going to give me a loaner car so i can go somewhere or whatnot. so the guy takes me out to the car and its a hundia something, like the smallest one that they make. so i try to get in and i wont fit, (im 6'6 280). so then there just like ohwell sorry. im like wtf are u serious i buy a 38,000 dollar car and u wanna give me a 6000 loaner that i cant even get into. so i talk with a manager and im like what am i supossed to do just sit here for 10 hours, and the guys like what are u talking about its not going to be ready until tomarrow. so now im pissed, i had already been there like 3 hours and it was told to me numorous times that it would be ready same day. so now im screwed and the guys like ok well call enterprise car rental and get u a rental. so im like well thats cool. so i get there and becasue im not 21 (only 19) they cant rent me a car. so they bring me back and the guys are like oh well sorry.
thank goodness i have a couple friends in o-town so i cal one of em up and he comes gets me lets me stay at his place and all that. heres where things get bad. i have just gotten out of a cast for my brooke foot and cant put weight on my foot w/o a shoe and cant take a shower w/o a stool and i didnt bring any clothes b/c i thought i was gonna be over there for that same day.
so i cant take a shower, and i dont have any other clothes.

so i get up to the dealership at 10 o clock wearing the same clothes, when my car is supossed to be ready. i go to the front desk and ask for this shane guy. wierd he and everyone else who knows anything about my car has the day off. how convieniant for them to tell me. so now i have to start all over, becasue no one there knows about my car. so i sit up there for 6 hours on wed. tryin to find where my car is becasue the ppl there dont even know what shop they took it to. so after about 6 hours like the big boos comes out and says sorry but its not gonna be ready until tomarrow. so now im really pissed ecasue i dont know where my car is. so i start raising hell, well not really but i was pretty upset. so then he looks at me and says oh yeah we have some business to take care of. im like ??? so he tells me that they found out that there was 7000 dolarrs left to pay off instead of 6000 on my expedition that i traded in. remeber this is 3 weeks after i drove the car home and there telling me now that they have my car. so im really pissed and upset and just let my dad handle it, ends up it was only like a couple hundred more but they said a thousand more. so i can imagnine that u can see why i was so pissed. so i just let it go and go back to my buddy's house. again no shower or clothes.

once again th car was suposoed to be ready at 10 get there my friend has class so he drops me off. i dont get my car until 6 at night. go outside and it sucks. they completly gave me a new haedliner and it wasnt even glued to the roof, it was actually hangin down in the bakc. it had a rip in it. i was extremely pissed. it was the worst job that i have ever seen. it was horrible the cover on the sunroof wouldnt even shut. it was horrible. and come to find out that they didn't cover it under my warrenty which the guy said so they wouldn't replace it. to make a really long story short. they ended up taking the car back, with 3000 miles on it. and gave us cash on everything we had paid. so now i dont have a car and cant find anmother c around that has everything that i want. i ride by orlando chrysler the day after we gae it back and they had put a owner demo sticker on it and were selling it for 39,000. i feel horrible for the poor person who doesn't know anything about c's thats gonna buy this car and have such a horrible roof, it will really need to be replaced in about a month becasue it will all fall down. oh yeah when u would drive it make a really loud shaking noise. it was hotrrible.
so then i go to greenway chrysler in orlando and they have 1 c left. its silver with everything on it. msrp of 39,500. so i wanted to get it. and it has a dealer demo sticker on it and 2200 miles. it was has a 3,000 dollar mark-up on it becasue they said that chrysler was cutting the production of the c which isnt true at all. so i ended up getting the car yesterday for msrp which blows. but i finally have everything striaght.
never buy anything from orlando chrysler. and i have had one horrible week. but happy thanksgiving

Join The Get Screwed Over By The Dealer Club. I can't believe that we allow the dealers to do this to people day in and day out. After my situation yesterday, I'm going to make sure the dealer remembers who I am. Most people walk away, that's why they do it. I've already made contact with the local media and left voice mails going up the ladder. What scares me is how many people we don't know about.

A little off topic, but this Edmunds article "Confessions of a Car Salesman" makes it appear as if salesman are a dime a dozen and don't usually last too long. So you may be dealing with a short-term rookie that is bungling the deal while screwing the customer.
However, the article also says the dealer management "in the backroom" are really making the decisions and running the show. The salesperson is really a pawn in the chess game. The faster you get to the management/decision makers, the less time you will waste getting jerked around.

This article is real long and actually disappointed me at the end.
It didn't do a good job of explaining the real math and profit calculations with MSRP, incentives, hold backs etc.. It didn't provide any useful info on how to negotiate a price.

Stunna55, 6'6 280...Your a big boy! You play ball? Sorry to hear about the roof. Car sales men/women are all about profit, simple as that. The 300c is a hot car now, if they can get a customer to pay 3000 over MSRP, more power to 'em. Car dealers prey on people who think they "have to have the car now". When it comes to buying the car, a fair price is what you end up paying for. If a dealer thinks he can get more out of you, he/she will try and do it. When going to the dealership, you have to be ready to laugh in their faces and walk out when they try to B.S. you on the price.

My 2 cents.

yeah we def. walked out then came back in. the thing that gets me is that the car had like 2000 miles on it and they were still doing a mark-up. when i bought my other like 3 weeks before they came down on the msrp like 2g's, but oh well. yea i play ball for a university in southern fl, but had to take a semester off to get surgery on my foot.
