Simple question, really. Just curious as to who owns their car, who leases, who is on payments, etc.

Owned, just paid 14k cash for it! Hate having to worry about payments and what not...
Now its time to start saving for some mods!!

Own it. Paid $25K cash in Feb, 2008. Doubt I would have done some of my more extreme mods if I did not own it.

Originally on payments. Walked in with 16K cash and paid off the balance of my loan last year.

I own everything in my driveway. It's a personal policy. We don't allow ourselves any debt but house debt.

I will occasionally take out a note on a car, but I always get a simple interest one so I can pay it down aggressively.

Own it, paid only $12000 including tax last september after a girl rear ended my Civic and put the trunk in the back seat. Insurance was nice enough to give me $9000 for a 2001 Civic coupe, so I wasn't complaining.

Couldn't vote in the poll... no one answer fits my situation.

Heritage Edition... still making payments (but last year)
Magnum SRT8... owned outright.

Ah, but you're unique =p I thought about that, but decided against putting every combination of options up.

I agree if "unique" is another way (the polite Canadian way) of saying "Goofy"! LOL

Own, I also don't let myself have any vehicle debt. Interest paid on a car is money wasted. I know it's the only way sometimes though.

Believe me, after my family went 6 years without a car (well, long story), I can say that it's worth whatever it costs. I'm not condoning buying something you can't afford, but if you wanted say a base model civic and could swing a nice enough deal with payments, it beats the hell out of the alternatives.
