Had a big cold snap this year! tried to open left side driver door and the rear passenger door same side, frozen, and the mechanism that pivots the front of the handle has snapped. is there any work around, or where can I find them to replace them ? I think it could be a ass of a job, possibly; Any help would be good

Had similar happen earlier this year. The handle can be replaced, and there are 3rd party options available so oem isn't the only choice. It's not bad to replace, and there are threads here with details along with youtube clips... search is your friend. RockAuto is where my replacement came from.

So far as the doors freezing shut... a friend suggested Pam cooking spray. At least that's what his mother uses as her car doors freeze shut. Pam is a vegetable oil based non-stick cooking spray. It gets sprayed on a cloth and wiped over the door gaskets... it works fine, but needs to be re-applied every so often.

Yes, it's an easy fix. A bit awkward, but not a big deal. Spend more time trying to get my door panel back on (because of loose cable) than it took to replace the handle. All told, it was less than an hour.
