I have had my car for only 6 weeks @ 14,200 miles and the rear drivers side window stopped working tonight. I took my car over to get the windows tinted and the guys couldn't do it due to rear window would not go down. Installer told me that he can guarantee that the dealer would blame him if he proceeded. I listened in to the door for some motor noise and nada. Completely silent when you hit the left rear button. Could it be some kind of fuse or does the dealer need to replace the group switch on drivers door?

Had the same problem a few months ago. When it happend, I slammed the door in frustration, and all of a sudden it worked. It happened once since then, and again, slammed the door (not too hard), and it worked again. Might be a track problem/contact, but have not brought it in, since it will probably be working when I do bring it in.

My tint shop called me and said they had done all except the rear drivers side because the window would not go down. !!! "Great looking car, mister, why no tint on that one window?" So I quickly called my dealer (they are one of the REALLY good ones) and told my story. The service writer (former tech) told me to tell them to give the door a good pop on the center inside and it would start working again. Tint guy says " uhm, OK, whatever, hang on" came back to the phone and said the car would be ready on time .... with a bit of a laugh! No problems since but the dealer has it on file should it happen again! Reason? Dunno.

It will happen again. It will work fine for a while and then one day it will stop. On that day, if the dealer is available take it in, have the tech try and lower it, so they see it does'nt work and have them write it up and schedule you for a service call.

Yes... It took 4 trips to my dealer untill it wasn't working when I brought it in. For some reason it always "fixed" itself when I brought it in. :) Kinda like when you go to the doctor... you always feel better when you get there.
