Well champs, I took the plunge and ordered the E&G Classic Vertical (Rolls Royce Grill) and had it installed last Thursday. I will say for the record I was orginally not overwhelmed by the lack of a tight fit with the front of the car or the fact that the grill stuck up a little above the hood line. It isn't bad, but not a complete factory look. It wasn't so bad that I immedietely came to a conclusion that it needed to come right back off, but my cousin who was with me kept telling it looks so much better. I agreed it looked different, but was willing to see how other people reacted to the look. While driving it home, we started to notice people on the street and in cars pointing at the car. My first thought was, great my car looks like crap now, but after a few more people were pointing, I realized the smiles seemed to be in apprecitation of the car, and not from laughing at it.

We took the car to Indy on Friday to get some additional modifications done and noticed more people pointing and heads turning and I started to feel a little better about the grill and thought what the heck, I'll start counting the ones I do catch actually pointing their fingers at the car. After driving around all weekend and having people comment on the car and reaching a final number of 43 "pointers" by the end of today, I am 100% satisfied with the decision to add this mod to my Black (Stallion) SRT-8!

As a point of reference, I've owned my Black SRT-8 for almost 4 months and drive it whenever I get the chance, but have gotten 50x more attention these last 4 days than I have over the last 4 months.

I don't know if this mod is for everyone or if anyone will feel the same way, but I don't care. I added the mod to get the car more recognition for what it is. One Bad to the Bone, American (foreign Manufacted) muscle car and now it looks it.

Let the opinions fly.....

Before I clicked open the thumbnails, I was certain I wouldn't like it.

Now I'm not so sure. The dead on front view looks very nice, especially with the headlight covers.

The part I don't like is how the chrome sticks up above the painted cowl line at the top. If E&G blended that to conform, it would be much better, imo.

What's important is how you like it, XCITsNU.

You've put a lot of effort into your C. Kudos for doing it and posting it up.

That's what modding's all about.

Thats the part I didn't like. I thought it was going to be more molded to the body lines, but its not so over the top that it looks bad. I've come around and actually like the whole front / side view now, but it's the front view as its coming at you that makes the biggest impression. It makes the car look completely different in my opinion.

XCITsNU...

man...
I am sorry to say...
no, I don't care for it once I see it from the side...
it looks nice from the front...
big time!
but once you see that raised look and even the lower part on the corner doesn't look like it fits right...
like others said, it's what matters to you...
If it were me...
I would take it back and have them fit one to the right dimensions so it fits your car...
but that is me...

300c for a reason

ITs a Chrysler 300 not a chrysler rolls royce phantom, if you want a rolls get a rolls if you want a chrysler get a chrysler, but dont imitate and try to make your 300 look like a rolls cuz it dosent, 300c is a beefy car for real men and a rolls is for weak british men who want to feel inmortant

Say No to Plastic Surgery

Brace yourself,...., this is not a positive review.
Granted, the part itself looks top-quality and we appreciate all the great multi-angle photos and all, but - well, looking it over I just cannot agree with the impulse to "RR" the car.
Bottomline: The SRT-8 has itz own persona, which like Michael Jackson, doesnt necessarily look better "after". Sorry.

It doesn't fit the look of the car!

I'm not saying it looks bad on it's own, but it doesn't look tasteful next to the lines of the 300.

Sorry to be Yarbie-like, but I just don't relly understand why you'd want to make a 300 look like a Rolls Royce.

I applaud you indivualism if you like it thats all that counts personally i would have liked it alot if the bars in the grill was color matched to the car while keeping the frame of the grill chrome but to each its own.
