good god! nice looking grille i guess.....but how many times must i say this-this car is a effin CHRYSLER, not a RR or BENTLY! will they ever get it strait?!? i wonder how many 'wanna bes' will go out and get this, debadge the car and try and play it off as a RR to people who dont know any better, lol. if RR didnt have these grills on their cars, this would definatly be a nice grille choice!
ostress- since it seems like you have the inside scoop on E&G, do you know if they plan to make any more grilles for the summer, as well as lower VERTICLE inserts instead of those damned mesh things?

lenno- i don't think, from my aspect its about being a wanna-be. its about being similar but different. i find that to be true in most mods... if they tamed down the top of this new grill to a more rounded form to fit the stock bumper. then lay on one of my stock front emblem mods on the front, i think it would be killer..... as for the inside scoop- i haven't heard anything on more grills, or further adaptations of the mesh inserts..........just my opinion.lennoxavesosa said:

i'd definately have to agree with you. i just think people are chumps when they try to make a car look like something else, especiallly if it's a rr or a bently. i mean come on...lennoxavesosa said:

We made the grille due to the interest in it from many 300 owners. As to the way it is manufactured, the grille does come up over the front fascia of the car. This is done to make it fit the contours of the car. If you go agaisnt the styling lines of the hood and the front fascia, the grille would clash on the car. It is not a photo chop.
Vertical grilles have been around since the 1920's and many manufacturers used them for years. E&G went into producing vertical grilles for Cadillacs in 1970. As for those who like the stock 300 grille, it is referred to as an egg crate grille. It too has been featured on various manufacturers cars for years. I hate to say this, but Chevrolet has used egg crate grilles on the Caprice since the 1960's. Cadillac has also used egg crate grilles as Chrysler has.
In the opinion of many in the automotive design world, the 300 is a close relative to a Bentley. That is why it has such instant appeal, people have seen it before someplace and really liked it. Now they are seeing it again.

I like the vert grille, but like others have said it should not go above the hood line.
It would also be nice to make vert. lower inserts both rear and front.
I like LenAve have tired of the mesh grille. It seems I see more 300s w/ mesh grilles than egg crates. Anything new is welcome.

i think this is the grill i've been waiting on....also everyone needs to chill out on thinking ppl are trying to make ppl think that its a rr or a bentley..the only ppl their fooling is themselves, this cars been out over a year....i've only told one person my car was a bentley, it was some girl outside a club one night who was drunk..i dont regret lying to her either....
