I agree.

The acceleration figures for the Challenger SRT8 seem to be too slow.

Wonder if they had the limited slip rear end in that car? Or maybe the driver hasn't learned how to launch the beast.

I would expect a 0-60 time of under 5 seconds . . .

They mentioned in the test that the 6.1 motor seemed slightly "sick" so it might not have been representative of what a SRT can do.

Edmund's 0-60 is also low on the 300c SRT8, at 5.7 seconds.
They probably don't know how to launch the car, or maybe their testing site is not at sea level and at a higher elevation.

Chrysler 300 Review - Edmunds.com
Those desiring maximum fun will no doubt be pleased with the 300C SRT8; it can hit 60 mph from a standstill in just 5.7 seconds. :pat:

And the Charger and Magnum 5.7L at 6.2 and 6.3 seconds.

Hooked up to a quick-shifting five-speed manually selectable automatic transmission, the power plant gives the big sedan big performance. We're talking about a car that weighs more than a new Cadillac DeVille, but running up to 60 mph takes just 6.2 seconds, while the quarter is dispatched in 14.3 ticks. That's about the same as our Magnum RT long-termer, which posted 6.3 and 14.4 seconds for the same tests.

This is going to blow the 13k premium that I seen at a Dealership all away. 41k base plus 13k premium for 54k for a 2008 and the v6 is now 22k. I think I would want the 5.7l Hemi.
