I am so SORRY to hear about the loss!! I had my truck broken into last month!! There is nothing worse than knowing something violated you belongings. And that there we that close to your house!!!
I spent the next few night up sitting in the dark with my 9mm in hand. Like they would return to the to the crime area. But it made me feel better!

DAMN, i feel your pain from here!! DO you have an alarm, wheel locks, etc? Or did they just get around it?? From my previous break-ins, the crooks always operate between 3-5am, right after everyone is home from the club-and right before they wake up before work in the morning..i hate those fu*kers!!!

If u have an alarm, i suggest a proximity sensor of some kind..u will not believe how many times this little contraption saved my previous car. U can set a zone of protection around AND inside your car. I had mine set to where if someone walked within 1.5 feet, my alarm would chirp a warning siren. I would hear my warning chirp go off at 3am, run outside, then see someone scrambling off on multiple occasions. low life scumbags!! :fing26:

The factory alarm has no shock sensor nor tilt sensor. It will only sound if the door or trunk is opened when it is armed.

I was afraid of having this exact same scenario with my car in my new neighborhood. I went out and got a 2 way paging alarm with tilt sensors, shock sensors, and proximity. I have scared off 2 would be thiefs since then with a baseball bat in my robe.

Have you had your vehicle serviced recently by anyone? Did they get the brain from your clarion head unit? If so, theres a good chance it was an inside job from someone whom had the time to inspect your car to find the brain.

sorry to hear about your misfortune, my brother's car just got stolen last week, luckily it was recovered with only his subwoofer box stolen out of it. got him a couple of new subs and a box for xmas.

Sorry about that happening... I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy.. What I did was i had a vibration sensor added to my factory alarm so it works like a regular alarm... Even after it goes off and i'm not around it will beep 3 or 4 times letting me my baby has been tampered with. You guys and gals might want to look into having that done for those of us who really don't want someone playing with their wiring too much...

A good lookin set of 22's attract thieves like honey to flys. That's one of the reasons i have left the stock wheels on. Plus i like the ride of the stockers also.

Don't remember who, but another forum member also had their wheels ripped off. I believe this was in NY City. Not sure if wheel locks are reliable or not, but they should come standard on all cars.

I'm surprised the factory alarm didn't go off when they opened the door. Glad I got the factory unit/Nav w/the car as no one really wants to steal an OEM head unit (fingers crossed).

I'm sorry about the money, time and inconvenience that these people (being polite) have caused you, especially around the holiday. I agree w/ motion sensors. One of my clients just called this morning wanting to move, because thieves cut the hood release cable on his Yukon so they could try and disconnect or cut the main power to the alarm system. Fortunately he had a hood alarm activation switch. They were unsuccessful.
