When you go into the diagnostic screens on the EVIC, it will show you "raw" and "avg" temperature readings. Does anyone know which sensor and where that sensor is located, that generates that reading?

If I am thinking about the right one, according to the service manual...

"The ambient air temperature sensor is a variable
resistor that monitors the air temperature outside of
the vehicle. The ATC system uses the sensor data to
maintain optimum cabin temperature levels. The ambient
air temperature sensor is mounted onto the bottom
of the front bumper beam."

Slightly toward the passenger side, down low. It's visible when you remove the little Mickey Mouse snap on cover panels...aka the place I always lay my tools.

Yeah, mine kicks up about 4-5 degrees when running the AC in the summer... so much for "outside" temp. Outside the cabin maybe...

Average accounts for variations like that, raw displays whatever the sensor is readin right now.
