exhaust wars 2005! where was the magnahamster guy when i was in exhaust decision mode!? i originally wanted magnaflows based on the sound clip of the magnum on their site. it sounded less loud to my ears then the zoomers...and i liked the more muffled, yet still deep, quality rumble the magnahamsters offered. but as more and more in here opted for the zoomers, i jumped on board. luckily i had the chance to hear the zoomers live, meet the zoomers guys, see the shop setup. there is no arguing the fact that the zoomers setup is high quality. the install is oo so clean, the look of the tips has grown on me, and i feel confident in the quality of the company itself and in its longevity and lifetime warranty.

anyway, would be great to be able to hear clips of an actual 300c breathing thru magnaflows, borlas, etc so that a true aural comparison could be made. everyones ear is unique....and choice is a good thing for the consumer. magnaflow guy is in a tough position to talk up his product after kidcoastals amazingly successful illumination of the zoomer product for 300c's and the many happy zoomers users inhabiting this space (like me!)...but the way this forum works is that there is a constant flow of newby 300 owners, ready to move on the exhaust front.

so...being that there are multiple quality exhaust systems, each with their own unique methodologys of achieving performance, it would be nice to be able to compare the facts of each before making a an exhaust call. Dyno results, soundclips, looks, system strategies for achieving the results, etc.

without further ado, bring on the great exhaust wars of 2005! lets get ready to rummmmmmmbbbbble!

I think you hit the nail on the head. I started scouring this forum when I ordered my 300c in May. It's now July and I don't have a final decision on exhaust. Kid Coastal is the man and has me wanting to throw a G at something I've never even heard in person (live near Boise ID). I'm like 95% of the way to zoomers but just can't lift up the phone yet. I think the zoomers exhaust and write ups sound great. BUT... I wish I had a single spot to compare all. Kind of like what the LX guys did for the cold air intake. I think it would be really cool to have a single thread with video clips from the same distance of stock, zooms, borla, magna, stock no suitcases, etc. Any club or meet and greet events that might be able to tackle this?

You guys can sit around and listen to audio clips and watch videos all day trying to rack your brain on which setup to go with, but the only true way to decide is to hear the setups in person.

Post a msg in your local forum section here at 300cforums and see if anyone is local with the setups that would meet up so you can hear the exhaust in person. The magnaflow setup sounded great to me on the internet, but when I heard it in person I was disappointed. Thats why I recommend doing this..

Excellent advice rogue, it's like trying to judge a color on your computer... the results are hampered by the limits of each individual computer set-up.

I have demo'd my Zoomers exhaust for several members, definitely the right way to go about making your decision!

For performance and quality, it's hard to beat Borla. I've had them on three previous cars and loved them. However, I would not put one on my 300C because, frankly, they tend to be LOUD.

Borla maks two different set ups for the 300C. You need to specify which of the two you are referring to. The Borla 112 has resonators and is quite. The Borla 125 does not have the rear resonators.

I have an srt8 and I'll probably be doing the magnaflow system. If they sound like any other installs I've seen (or heard for that matter) they'll be nice and throaty with good hp gains.

how is the borla 112 when compaired to the noise levels of the magnaflow, flowmasters i know its quieter than the zoomers but what about the other two and whats the difference in proformance (HP) with the borla 112 and the borla 125 is it a big difference.
