I forgot to post this from a while back. When I took delivery of my car, I noticed 3 tiny dents on the right rear quarter panel that were perfectly 9 inches apart. This had to be from the control arm at the manufacturer. Maybe pushed a little hard to set it in place. So I made sure that the little dents were removed. So, if you took delivery near January, maybe take a CLOSE look at your right rear quarter panel. They arent easy to spot unless you look for them in the reflection off the car. It was enough to annoy me.
Anyway, hopefully you all dont have them there.

kidcoastal - have you noticed these dents on any other 300s, or just your own?

I've got a black 02' DTS that has 'factory' dents just below the front door handles on both sides - kind of behind the moulding. When I took delivery I noticed the same dents were on nearly every new deville on the lot. I've had great luck with GM, but they still dent every deville they make.

I had (and still can see) the three vertical dents. Also on close inspection, you could see that that area had been repainted. You could see a topcoat paint reaction with the primer. The dealership tried to repair this, and ended up painting the right side of the car, the trunk, and the left rear quarter panel. The color is slightly mismatched and measures three times thicker than the 5.5 mil factory paint thickness. >>>>>>>>>>>>DIXIE :)

No I havent noticed on any other 300 but I thought it would be weird that I was the only one with them. Turns out I was right. Dixie has it too. Luckly I didnt have to repaint. I had a REAL good dent guy pop them out from behind the tail lamp with a long odd shaped stick.

I think I have a dent around the same area your talking about. I know I have 2 minor dents under the clearcoat which i've noticed in the sunny weather. Honestly, I want to stay away from the dealer trying to fix it because the dents are very very minor and im worried the dealer is going do more damage. Oh and let's not forget the paint drip from the factory which is on my right fender which the dealer still has to fix.
