In my 300SRT8, the carpet in the trunk does not fit well. The carpet ends about 2 inches from the end of the car leaving a gap where items could fall down into this gap.

I was wondering if other people have this same problem and if it is a SRT8 specific problem. I know there is a TSB involving the fit of the trunk carpet, but after reading the TSB I'm not sure the description of the fix would solve my issue.

I have the problem and hate that it doesn't fit well at all. I am constantly salvaging stuff from under the matt that falls through.

Same here, it drives me crazy. I've readjusted it several times and alway ends up the same way.

Beats dropping the rear end every time you head to the track. Of course, my trunks end up so full of junk that the carpet problem would be invisible to me, blanketed by 12" of mess...In fact, my trunks get so bad that it's kind of a relief not to have a spare tire. At least if I get a flat, I don't have to worry about how I'm going to get at the donut...

Same here... had a golf ball rolling around down in there by my C's spare jack for several days before I figured that one out!!

Same gap in my 06 C. Just on the right side, as the left is ok. I kept trying to straighten it out, but said the heck with it and leave it alone now.

The dealer said they would fix it the next time I have some service done. If your car was built before this date its on them. At least this is what I was told last Friday.

I have the same problem in my 300C. I think a piece of duct tape will secure it. It won't look great but stuff won't fall between the stupid crack.
