Visiting relatives in Nottinghamshire I parked outside the house at 6p.m. on Saturday and an hour later I discovered that some 'B' had reversed into the front offside wing and left a nice crease at the top of the wheel arch.

Of course, the 'B' didn't leave any details or try to establish which of the eight houses in the cul-de-sac had visitors with a beautiful 300C. I do know it was a red Escort Estate but none of the neighbors knew who the driver was (or wasn't saying).

I wasn't the best of company on Saturday night!

The car's in for repair in a week or so but until then I've a constant reminder of how 'honest' some people are.

The car's going in next Thursday. I had arranged for the Insurance Co to repair it but found out that my excess was £250 and the repair - from the prefered repairer was £780 - but I discovered a local repairer, care of the car's dealership, who'd do the repair for the cost of the excess.

At least that'll prevent the loading at renewal!

Hi Pizza, there are some real bastards out there. Maybe your relatives will see the escort return to the cul-de-sac and notice where the driver goes. Take a photo and keep a sample of the red paint just in case.
